The terror group said the deal allows the IDF to wait until the second phase of the agreement before agreeing to a permanent ceasefire, maintain a presence in the Philadelphi corridor, Rafah Crossing, and Netzarim, and have the power to veto Palestinian prisoners Hamas requests to be released.

Hamas officials said they could not agree to these conditions allegedly imposed by Israel and demanding a return to the framework agreement revealed by US President Joe Biden on July 2nd.

As US Secretary of State Antony Blinken traveled to the Middle East, Netanyahu warned that he would not cave to Hamas’s demands but instead told Blinken to tamp down his expectations for a successful hostage release agreement.
