Hamas sources through a Saudi news outlet Asharq revealed the updated terms to the hostage release proposal offered by the US.
The Hamas source did not indicate whether they would agree to the terms, although the terror group repeatedly said they would agree to the original framework presented on July 2nd.
The new terms submitted by the US would allow Israel to maintain a presence within the Philadelphi Corridor.
The Palestinian Authority would manage the Rafah Crossing under Israeli supervision.
Israel would be in charge of returning displaced persons to the North through the Netzarim Corridor.
Israel would be allowed to veto at least a hundred names of Palestinian prisoners released in exchange for hostages, and many of these Palestinians would be deported.
A permanent ceasefire would only be discussed in the second phase of the deal, during which time Israel could resume fighting if Hamas doesn’t agree to the conditions.
Hamas sources have said the decision not to send a delegation to the Doha talks was the concern that Israel would add new terms and revise the July 2nd version of the deal.
Most of the above-stated conditions have been revised or added to the original framework.
