Egyptian sources report that the ceasefire and hostage negotiations have fallen apart after both Israel and Hamas could not reach an agreement.
Hamas, which didn’t send delegates to the hostage and ceasefire talks, rejected the “bridging proposal” put forth by the United States because the terror group claimed Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu kept adding demands.
Netanyahu had held firm on the position that Israel must have a presence on the Philadelpi corridor on the border between Egypt and Gaza.
Hamas demanded a full withdrawal of the IDF from the Gaza Strip.
