Meeting with hostage families who prefer military action rather than hostage negotiations to free their relatives, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that she is “not sure there will be a deal.”
This announcement comes after news that Hamas rejected a “bridging proposal” put forth by the US that would free the hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners.
Hamas has claimed that the US’s new proposals have additions that conform to Netanyahu’s demands, such as an IDF presence in the Philadlephi corridor, which the terror group says they can’t accept.
Some of the families who met with Netanyahu are members of the Tikva Forum, who support military pressure rather than negotiating with Hamas.
Zvika Mor, whose son Eitan is captive in Gaza, and began the Tikva Forum declared after meeting with Netanyahu that the Prime Minister “doesn’t believe there will be a deal.”
