Lufthansa and Swiss Air announced they are postponing all flights to Israel until August 21 given the tensions and security threat in the region.
The airlines also called off flights to Tehran, Beirut, Amman and Erbil for the same period.
Both Swiss Air and Lufthansa said they would avoid Iranian and Iraqi airspace until August 21, with Swiss Air saying it will also avoid Israeli airspace.
