US Sends $3.5 Billion in Military Aid to Israel

The US has released $3.5 billion of military aid to Israel as part of a larger package that was earmarked for the Jewish State.

This news comes as the US has increased its presence in the Middle East amid threats against Israel from Iran and Hezbollah.

Congress passed a package of supplemental $14.1 billion aid to Israel in April.

The $3.5 billion doesn’t pay for weapons that Israel will use in the immediate future, but the release of the money is intended to allay fears of future shortfalls.

The date for releasing the remainder of the earmarked funds has not yet been announced.
