Legendary Jewish rapper Matisyahu will hold a benefit concert in New York City to benefit southern kibbutzim devastated by the October 7th Hamas invasion.
The benefit concert, called “One Day” after Matisyahu’s hit song, will be held on September 22, 2024, shortly before the one-year anniversary of the October 7th Hamas invasion and is sponsored by Americans for Ben-Gurion University (A4BGU).
Ben-Gurion University is holding a $1 billion global fundraising campaign called Way Forward to rebuild the Negev Region.
Matisyahu has been an outspoken advocate for Israel, particularly after October 7th, and dedicated his 2004 song “Warrior” to wounded IDF soldiers he met while in Israel.
In May, the Jewish rapper wrote a song about antisemitism and performed it on the site of the Nova festival massacre.
