The IDF conducts a targeted counterattack against a senior commander in Hezbollah and attacks terrorist targets in southern Lebanon
In an aerial operation, the IDF eliminated Ali Jamal al-Din Jawad, a senior commander in the Radwan force of the terrorist organization Hezbollah. The airstrike was carried out near the town of Aba in southern Lebanon, and is a significant blow to Hezbollah’s ability to plan and carry out terrorist operations against Israel from the northern border.
At the same time, Air Force fighter jets attacked a Hezbollah military structure and terrorist infrastructure in Kfar Kila, also in southern Lebanon. The attack was carried out in response to the launch of several suspicious aerial targets from Lebanon into Israeli territory. The air defense system intercepted one of the targets, and intercept fragments fell in the Mount Miron area. No injuries were reported.
Alerts for missile and rocket fire were activated in the Upper Galilee and Western Galilee for fear of falling interceptor fragments, but no falls were reported on Israeli territory.

The elimination of Jawad is a serious blow to Hezbollah’s capabilities, since the Radwan force is considered the organization’s elite unit, specializing in guerrilla warfare and sabotage. 02:18 – Warning of hostile aircraft infiltration in Kfar Giladi, Kash, Tel Hai, Ma’ayan Baruch and Kfar Yuval. The incident ended without any injuries being reported
02:29 – Rocket and missile fire alarms in Rayon. No launches or falls were detected. Probably false alarms
10:05 – Rocket and missile fire alarms in Kiryat Shmona and Margaliot. A number of successful interceptions were carried out and no falls were detected
10:34 – Anti-tank fire into the area in a flash. A hit was detected in the area of the settlement and another hit near it. A fire broke out in the place. No injuries were reported
11:52- Rocket and missile fire alarms in Kfar Yuval, Mein Baruch and Dafna. Apparently as a result of an attempted interception of a suspicious aerial target. No damage or injuries to the body were reported
7:10 p.m. – Shooting a steep course in the Mount Dov sector. Falls in open areas have been detected. No injuries were reported
20:51 – Enemy aircraft infiltration in the Mount Miron sector. An interception was carried out and a number of falls were detected in the area of the mountain. Rocket and missile fire alarms were activated in the paint for fear of interception shrapnel. No injuries were reported
