Anonymous Western Sources told UAE-owned Sky News Arabia that Iran is planning on attacking Israel on Tisha B’Av, a day mourning the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem and other Jewish tragedies.
According to the source, Tisha B’Av, which begins on Monday night and ends on Tuesday, has been selected because of its psychological and historical significance to Jews and may serve to make the Jewish State seem particularly vulnerable.
Iran has vowed a strike against Israel to retaliate for the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Sinwar in Tehran last week.
Israel is widely considered to have been responsible for the attack, given Israel’s stated goal to “eliminate Hamas,” although the Jewish State has not claimed responsibility for the assassination.
