The IDF reports that it has eliminated dozens of terrorists in some of the heaviest fighting since the beginning of the ground war in Gaza.
Over the weekend, they targeted a UNRWA school that was used as a Hamas command center.
Before the strike, the IDF took steps, including surveillance, to limit civilian casualties.
Other IDF operations targeted several Gaza Strip locations, including Shejaiya and Rafah.
Troops also battled terrorists in southern Gaza City neighborhoods after the IDF received intelligence that Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists were operating there.
The corridor in the area allows the IDF to conduct operations while Palestinian civilians can return to their homes and receive humanitarian aid.
