During the ongoing raid on Jenin, one IDF soldier was killed and three others were wounded in clashes with terrorists.
The fallen soldier has been identified as Staff Sgt. Elkana Navon, 20, a squad commander in the Bislamach Brigade’s 906th Battalion from Petah Tikva.

The operation in Northern Samaria began on Wednesday with a heightened focus on Jenin, following completed missions in Tulkarem and the Far’a camp near Tubas.
During the raid, troops engaged and eliminated two high-profile Hamas terrorists in a gunfight. Four Israeli soldiers were injured in the confrontation, including Navon, who later died from his wounds. The other three soldiers, including one officer in serious condition, were also hurt.
On Saturday, the IDF neutralized numerous explosives that had been planted along the road.
IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi stated, “We are dismantling the terrorism originating from the refugee camps in Judea and Samaria” as part of the ongoing operation.
