The IDF ordered civilian evacuations in Khan Younis on Monday after renewing operations in the area following the launching of missiles from Gaza into southern Israel.
The IDF sent SMS, phone calls, and brochures to warn civilians that “remaining in the area has become dangerous.”
The evacuation of the civilian area was carried out “in accordance with precise intelligence indicating that Hamas has emboldened terror infrastructure” embedded among the Gazan population.
According to Israeli military intelligence, Hamas was attempting to regroup in Khan Younis after the IDF had left the area for the southern part of Gaza.
