IDF Closes Off Southern Areas as Iran Threat Looms

The IDF has closed off areas in the the Southern envelope following a security assessment.

From August 12 at 12 pm, agricultural areas were closed to civilian traffic and access is only permitted in cooperation with the military.

The closed areas include: Erez Pass, Yad Mordechai, the Shaar HaNegev Junction, the Nativot Junction and the Oz River.

In addition, the closure order applies to the area of ​​the Eshkol stream, which includes the area between the Ra’im intersection, through the Orim intersection, to the Ma’on intersection.

The closure was prompted by a security assessment in the area that determined the need to protect civilians.
