Although the war stalled a much-anticipated normalization agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel, US President Biden said the Saudis are poised to go ahead with it in exchange for a weapons deal.
In an interview, Biden said “I got a call from the Saudis — they want to fully recognize Israel,” Biden says in an interview on “360 with Speedy.”

The previous negotiations hinged on Israel’s creating a pathway for a Palestinian State, something Netanyahu did not agree to.
However, Biden said the deal this time would involve a commitment by the US to provide Saudi Arabia with weapons “if they’re attacked by other Arab nations — one just around the corner,” said Biden.
Biden said Washington could establish a civilian nuclear facility “so they can move away from fossil fuels.’
“It would be a big game changer in the region,” Biden said.
