IDF says Hamas’s Rafah Brigade Defeated, 80% of tunnels neutralized
Military sources report that Hamas’s Rafah Brigade has effectively “collapsed” due to the ongoing IDF offensive in southern Gaza.
This follows Defense Minister Yoav Gallant’s earlier statement confirming the defeat of the Rafah Brigade.
The IDF has neutralized approximately 80% of Hamas’s tunnels along the Philadelphi Corridor, the border area between Egypt and Gaza.
Additionally, there has been an increase in Hamas operatives attempting to escape from these tunnels in Rafah and move north towards the Israeli-designated humanitarian zone. The IDF has successfully ambushed several Hamas gunmen trying to flee the area.
