Hezbollah Planned to Strike Military Base, IDF Said It Has Prevented Future Attacks
The IDF revealed that the major Hezbollah attack that it thwarted at 5 am on Sunday was intended to hit a military base and that it has destroyed sufficient terrorist infrastructure to prevent future attacks.
The IDF stated that Hezbollah attempted to launch hundreds of rockets into Israel. Although according to initial reports the military said it struck thousands of rocket launchers, not all were prepared to be used in the current attack.
Hezbollah claimed it sent 320 rockets into Israel this morning, and the IDF said the number was 210 rockets and 20 drones. The rockets were aimed at northern Israel whereas the drones were intended for the center of the country.
Most of the projectiles landed in open areas and most were intercepted.
One civilian was moderately wounded with shrapnel in Acre and another rocket caused damage in Manot.
The 35-year-old woman injured with shrapnel is being treated at a hospital and will be released today.
