El Al Offers Fixed Prices for Select Destinations in Response to Criticism
Special Fares for “Parent” Destinations In response to public criticism over rising ticket prices following cancellations by other airlines to Israel, El Al announced it is offering fixed prices for several popular destinations. The CEO of El Al met with Economy Minister Nir Barkat to determine set prices for 4 destinations until the end of 2024. These places are intended to serve as “parent destinations” for travel to other places.
Affordable Prices for Popular Destinations Israel’s leading airline announced that fares for flights to Cyprus will be on sale for $199, to Athens for $299, to Vienna at Dubai for $349.
El Al’s Effort to Maintain Reasonable Prices El Al emphasized its commitment to providing affordable travel options for Israeli passengers, especially in light of the challenging circumstances in the aviation market. The company also highlighted that the fixed prices are intended to ensure stability and certainty for travelers planning their trips in advance.
Additional Destinations and Hope for Positive Impact While the fixed prices currently apply only to four destinations, El Al expressed its willingness to consider expanding the program to additional destinations in the future, depending on market conditions and demand. This initiative by El Al is expected to be welcomed by Israeli travelers, who have experienced significant price increases in recent months. By offering fixed prices for popular destinations, El Al not only provides relief to passengers but also contributes to stabilizing the Israeli aviation market during this turbulent period.
