In July, Israeli unemployment reached a record low of 2.8% compared to 3% in June.
The 2.8% represents a record low for unemployment as many reservists have left their jobs temporarily vacant.
Workforce shortages have led to higher wages, which have provided workers in relevant industries with some financial relief in spite of the slow-growing Israeli economy due to the war.
However, there is an indication that more reservists will return to work since the percentage of the people in reserve duty is high, 9.4% but much lower than the 15.6% rate in June.
The percentage of those participating in the labor force in July was 63%, slightly higher than June’s figure of 62.9 %
