Iran-Backed Ramat Gan Man Indicted for Encouraging Military Coup

A Ramat Gan was indicted for cooperating with Iran to encourage Israeli soldiers to engage in a coup.

He was ordered by Iranian handlers to put up posters telling soldiers to resist orders and encouraged them to join a Telegram group called “The People’s Army.”

Eden Debs, 30, is charged with contacting a foreign agent and using illegal substances, including MDMA and cocaine.

Debs communicated with Iranians over Telegram about the tasks and was paid $12,000 in cryptocurrency.
