The IDF announced that it has destroyed 50 Hamas tunnels in the Philadelphi Corridor and that it has eliminated a total of 17,000 terrorists since the beginning of the war.
The Philadelphi corridor, a buffer zone between Gaza and Egypt, is a location that was used by Hamas to smuggle weapons through its network of tunnels.
Disabling over 50 of these tunnels will hamper the efforts of Hamas to re-arm and to secure more weapons.
IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari announced that 17,000 terror operatives have been killed since the beginning of the war, and the IDF’s “significant fighting” will make it difficult for Hamas to regroup as a military force.
In addition, 30 locations, including those that were booby-trapped, were disabled by Israeli airstrikes.
