Russian authorities have unearthed a mass grave from the Holocaust in which 61 Jews, including 11 children, were buried.
The mass grave is located in the Ukrainian city of Henichesk in the Kherson district.
The remains are being taken for DNA testing.
The bodies were found in a former anti-tank trench dug in World War II that was used for the mass murder of Jews.
Workers at the site are engaged in painstaking excavation to carefully remove the remains from the mass grave.
Archival records hint at more bodies, perhaps several hundred.
According to Alex Tanzer, a son of Holocaust survivors, approximately 300 Jews from Henichesk were murdered during the Holocaust.
