Israeli Prime Minister said he was postponing talks on Saudi Arabia normalization until after the US election, Channel 12 reports.
It is believed that Netanyahu wants to see if Trump will defeat Kamala Harris and become President again before proceeding with the deal.
Netanyahu may be sacrificing the political leverage that can be created by Saudi normalization during his term.
The postponement contradicts what Netanyahu told a US journalist on his trip to Washington, which was that normalization could be accomplished before the election.
Another possible bone of contention is Saudi Arabi’s insistence on a roadmap for a Palestinian State as a condition for normalization with Israel.
