Soldiers detained for allegedly mistreating a terrorist say that he attacked the guards first and wounded one, according to Honenu, an organization that represents soldiers.

On Monday, nine IDF soldiers were detained for questioning over the alleged abuse of an imprisoned Nukbah terrorist.

Protests erupted over the way in which the soldiers were arrested, and critics of the action say the IDF troops were treated like “criminals.”

According to the soldiers’ reports, the prisoner was transferred from Ofer Prison to Sde Teiman after he had been involved in a rebellion.

While conducting a routine search on the soldier, the terrorist began biting the guards, injuring one of them.

One soldier said, “Do you even know who the terrorist who complained is? He is an arch-terrorist who played a significant role in the murderous attack on 10/7 and shouldn’t even be alive if he had committed his crimes in another country.”

During the arrest on Monday, reservists clashed with police.

One reservist said, “We will unite against this thing where the IDF fights its own soldiers. That’s it. It’s over.”
