In a report from Hezbollah-linked media, Hamas leaders claim they will release Israeli hostages only if Israel completely withdraws from the Gaza Strip.
This includes the Netzarim Corridor and the Philadelphi Corridor.
Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu has emphasized the importance of controlling the Philadelphi corridor to prevent weapons smuggling into Gaza.
One source told Kan last week that Israel was constructing a buffer zone in the area after the Rafah operation.
Al-Mayadeen also indicated that Hamas was demanding Israel outline its proposal for a complete ceasefire. However, it had previously relaxed this demand as a pre-condition for a hostage release deal.
It also reported that Hamas officials said they were willing to rule the Gaza Strip if a consensus could not form a viable alternative government.
