Despite protests in DC, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was greeted applause at several points during his address to Congress.

He emphasized the shared mission of the US and Israel to eradicate terror and stressed that Iran was the nerve center of other groups, such as Hamas, the Houthis, and Hezbollah.

Netanyahu said, “In the Middle East, Iran’s axis of terror confronts Israel, America and our Arab friends,” Netanyahu said. “This is not a clash between civilizations. It’s a clash between barbarism and civilizations. It’s a clash between those who glorify death and those who sanctify life.”

Israel and the United must stand together “for the forces of civilization to triumph,” the Israeli prime minister said. “We will win.”
To this end, Netanyahu emphasized that Israel needs the tools to defeat terror in the form of armaments and weapons and encouraged the US to continue aiding Israel in its fight against terror.

“Today, as Israel fights on the frontlines of civilization, I, too, appeal to America,” he said. “Give us the tools faster, and we’ll finish the job faster.”
