Israeli website company was compelled to compensate a former employee in Dublin after dismissing her for anti-Israel posts just weeks after October 7th.
Wix was ordered to pay €35,000 ($38,000) and admitted the dismissal was “procedurally unfair.”
Courtney Carey posted that she “stood with Palestine,” called Israel an “apartheid state,” and said Zionism was racism without any criticism of the atrocity Hamas committed against Israel on October 7th.
Carey said she felt “blacklisted” by her dismissal and said he had to take a job for considerably less money.
Although it was originally estimated that her losses caused by the dismissal amounted to €20,000, the extra was added after Carey complained that she was receiving a lower salary at her current job.
