The Oh Glow! story began when Dana Zilberstein and Ofri Shaysh, the company’s founders and co-CEO, were in Japan and noticed a booth featuring Israeli cosmetics in a mall.
The cosmetics brand was unknown in Israel, its native country, but it was selling well in Japan. It had only four products.
Zilberstein and Shaysh decided to create a high-end export business for cosmetics with an environmentally friendly angle.
The company’s original name, DNO, exports 78 brands from their country of origin to Hong Kong and India.
The CEOs ensure that none of Oh Glow’s products are tested on animals, and many are made from sustainable materials and obtained through fair trade.
