On Wednesday, the leader of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah, said it would stop launching missiles into Israel if there is a ceasefire with Hamas.

“If there is a ceasefire in Gaza, then our front will also cease fire without discussion, irrespective of any other agreement or mechanisms or negotiations,” Nasrallah said on Wednesday.

“Hamas is negotiating on its own behalf and on behalf of the Palestinian factions, and also on behalf of the entire Axis of Resistance. What Hamas accepts, we all accept,” Nasrallah said.

The “Axis of Resistance” is a term used by Nasrallah and others to indicate the unity of terror groups, such as Hamas, the Houthis, and Hezbollah, that are all backed and financed by Iran and are committed to destroying the Jewish State.

Since October 7th, Hezbollah has fired missiles almost daily into Israel, causing 60,000 Israelis to evacuate from their homes in the north.

Although Nasrallah said he would honor a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, he emphasized that Hezbollah was not afraid of war and would fire more missiles into Israel if the war continued.

The escalation of attacks in the north of Israel has raised concerns about a third Lebanon War developing in the absence of a diplomatic solution.
