A Jerusalem hotel is opening its doors to women experiencing the grief of stillbirth.
The project is sponsored by Yad Sarah Israel’s largest volunteer organization and is located on the sixth floor of its Yirmiyahu 33 Rehabilitation and Wellness Hotel at the entrance to Jerusalem,
Although Israel legally considers a child a stillborn at 22 weeks, the center accepts women who have lost children at 20 weeks.
Couples can stay at the hotel for heavily subsidized rates, and many couples are covered by insurance.
With 10 suites and plans to open at least one more in the near future. Yad Sarah believes this project is the only one of its kind in the world.
