Despite concerns over countries and individuals threatening to boycott Israel over the Gaza war, Israeli eCommerce companies are thriving with overseas sales, Globes reports.
Given the slowdown in Israel’s domestic economy since October 7th, Israeli companies have expanded their reach into foreign markets. This was accompanied in some cases with trepidation, given overseas calls to boycott Israel.
However, according to data from Paypal Israel, 50% of Israeli ecommerce companies surveyed responded that European sales were keeping their business afloat and even allowing them to thrive.
PayPal VP and general manager Israel and Central and Eastern Europe Efi Dahan said, “The businesses in Israel, who are dealing with a complex reality, need to understand more than ever that the online arena is not just a nice addition, but can be an economically decisive factor.”
