Tnuva, Israel’s leading food producer, is partnering with Meir Group to make transporting items to the grocery store more environmentally friendly.
The companies are unveiling Israel’s first refrigerated electric truck, the VOLVO FE, which will deliver Tnuva dairy products in Petah Tikva and the Gush Dan area.
The model was developed in Europe and is making its debut in Israel, with controlled temperatures and a solar panel on the roof.
The truck weighs 26 tons and has a 350 horsepower equivalent electric motor, offering a range of up to 250 kilometers.
The truck drives like a conventional vehicle, although it requires 8 to 10 hours to charge at a regular or fast charging station, 1.5-2 hours.
