On Wednesday, the names of two IDF officers killed battling Hamas were released.
Captain Roy Miller, a 21-year-old from the Tel Aviv suburb of Herzliya, was killed in a firefight with Hamas terrorists in the northern Gaza Strip.
Captain Miller was a platoon commander for the Rotem Regiment in the Givati Brigade.
Captain Ilay Elisha Lugasi, aged 21, from Kiryat Shemona, which has been evacuated because of Hezbollah attacks, was killed by anti-tank fire while fighting in the central Gaza neighborhood of Shejaiya.
Captain Lugasi, who served in the 7th Armored Brigade’s 75th Battalion, was wounded in battle earlier in the war and returned to fight.
