Hezbollah Commander Responsible for Abducting Israelis Killed in an Airstrike

Muhammed Nasser

The IDF reported that a top Hezbollah commander, Muhammad Neamah Nasser, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on the coastal city of Tyre on Wednesday.

The drone hit a vehicle containing Nassar, another terrorist, and a civilian who were also killed in the strike.

He is the highest-ranking Hezbollah commander to be slain since Taleb Abdullah, who was killed last month in a targeted strike.

Nassar was head of Hezbollah’s Aziz regional division and was responsible for the abduction of IDF reservists Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev in 2006.

He also directed the firing of missiles against Israeli communities and IDF forces.

In response to news of Nasser’s death, Hezbollah fired 100 rockets into northern Israel.
