Turkish Airport Prevented El Al Plane from Refueling After Emergency Landing

An El Al plane forced to land in Turkey for a medical emergency was denied permission to refuel at Antalya’s airport.

On a flight from Poland, the Israeli landed in Turkey when one of the patients was suffering from a medical emergency.

Since the beginning of the war between Israel and Hamas, Turkey has suspended all direct flights to and from Israel.

However, despite the fact it was an emergency landing, workers at the Antalya airport refused to allow the plane to refuel, causing further delays.

The El Al plane flew to Rhodes where it was allowed to refuel before returning to Israel.

According to Kan news in Israel, El Al had initially received permission to refuel at the Turkish airport, but Turkish politicians refused to allow it since the Israeli plane allegedly didn’t have a permit, which it required despite the emergency situation.
